Printing, signatures and email

Print with or without your signature, email the prescription to the patient, and verify a prescription by QR.

When you press Print on a signed prescription, RxKite asks:

  • Sign by hand: nothing is printed above your name, so you sign in ink. This is what most doctors use at the clinic.
  • Print my signature and stamp: your uploaded images are printed. Use this when the patient takes the print elsewhere, or for a clean copy.

Tick Remember my choice on this computer to skip the question next time. You can also pick which pad to print on, or download the PDF instead.

Upload your signature and stamp

Go to Settings → Signature & stamp.

  1. Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen.
  2. Photograph it straight on, in good light, filling most of the frame.
  3. Upload it. With Remove the white paper background and crop ticked, RxKite makes the paper transparent and trims it to the ink, so it sits cleanly on any pad.

Your stamp works the same way and prints beside the signature.

Email the prescription

On a signed prescription press Email, check the patient's address, and send. The patient receives a short message from your clinic name with the prescription attached as a PDF. If you have uploaded a signature it is included, since the patient cannot receive a hand-signed copy; untick it if you prefer. Replies go to your clinic email.

Email must be set up on the server. If the Email button says it is unavailable, ask whoever runs your RxKite server (see the setup guide for SMTP).

Verification QR

Each signed prescription can carry a small QR code. Anyone who scans it, such as a pharmacist, sees a page confirming the prescription number, date, doctor and registration number, the patient's initials and the medicines, and whether it has been voided. It never shows the patient's full name, contact details or notes.

Turn the QR off per pad in Pad & printing → What to print.

  • Scale: 100% / Actual size, never Fit to page.
  • Margins: None or Default.
  • Paper size matching your pad (A5 for most Indian pads).

Reaching the free monthly limit

On the Free plan, 50 prescriptions a month are filed in the patient's record; on Standard, 500. If you reach the limit in the middle of a clinic, you can still Print without filing: the prescription prints normally but is not kept on file. Moving to a bigger plan (Pro has no limit), or the start of a new month, lifts the limit. Patient care is never blocked.
