Privacy policy

This policy explains how RxKite ("we") handles personal data when doctors ("you") use the service at rxkite.com. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

#Two kinds of data

Your account data. Your name, email, mobile number, medical registration number and council, qualifications, clinic details, signature and stamp images, and payment records. We are responsible for this data.

Your patients' data. The patients you register, the prescriptions you write and the documents you attach to them. For this data you are the data fiduciary and we act on your instructions, only to provide the service to you. Tell your patients that you keep their prescriptions electronically, as you would with paper records.

#What we use data for

• To run the service: signing you in, storing and printing your prescriptions, sending emails you ask us to send.
• To keep it secure: detecting abuse, rate limiting and keeping an audit log.
• To bill you, if you choose a paid plan.
• To understand usage in aggregate, such as how many doctors were active today. We do not look inside prescriptions for this.

We do not sell data, show advertising, or use patient data to train any model.

#Who else handles data

Only the providers needed to run the service, each bound to use it only for that purpose:

• Hosting and storage for the application, database, files and encrypted backups.
• Email delivery for sign-in codes, password resets and prescriptions you choose to email.
• Payment gateways (Razorpay or PayU) when you pay. We never see or store your card details.

We disclose data to authorities only when Indian law requires it.

#Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and one to remember a trusted device if you ask us to. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

#How long we keep it

As long as your account is open. If you delete your account, your data is removed from the live service after 30 days and disappears from backups as they rotate, within about a year. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.

#Your rights

You can see and correct your details in Settings, download all your data at any time, and delete your account. For anything else, including a grievance, write to support@rxkite.com. We respond within 30 days.

#Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change applies.
